W. Richard Grosdidier
President of Utility Solar & Director
W. Richard Grosdidier is President of Utility Solar at Sunfinity Renewable Energy. Richard leads Sunfinity’s domestic and international development of solar installations designed to generate power for utility companies of all sizes, bringing more than 30 years of energy-related experience to Sunfinity on projects valued in billions of dollars, including solar and wind energy; nuclear power; hydroelectric power; gas-fired, petroleum coke-fired, coal-fired and wood/wood waste-fired facilities.
Most recently, Richard was Director of Development and Head of U.S. Solar Power for European-based Innogy Renewables, where he was charged with starting and building the company’s U.S. utility scale solar business. Prior to this post, he ran the Utility Scale Renewable Business at NRG Renew (formerly NRG Solar), generating a portfolio of 1.8 GW's through acquisition and green-field development. Prior to NRG Renew, Richard held senior finance positions at Next Era Energy Resources, the leading developer, owner/operator of renewable assets in the U.S. Richard graduated from Wilkes University with a degree in finance. He attended the University of Dayton School of Business where he earned an MBA in finance, and concurrently, attended the University of Dayton School of Law, earning a Juris Doctor.
